Where do I park for school pick ups and drop offs?

As parking is very limited around the school grounds please be mindful and move quickly to leave so others can have a park as well. Students who have to cross a road to get to their family car MUST use the school crossing or have a parent accompany them.

Parking is available along Lawrence Street and in the St Patrick’s Cathedral Carpark. Please be mindful of the school crossings and appropriate speed limits when driving nearby the school.

Parking near the Mercy Centre

Parking near the end of the driveway off Neil Street, beside the Mercy Centre, is strictly for deliveries and for those families needing to access the Disabled Park. It is not to be used in the morning for drop off or in the afternoon for pick up.

Before and After School Care

If you are unable to collect your child before 3.30pm please contact St Saviour's OSHC Toowoomba directly.

Bus Zones

Strictly no parking in the Bus Zones. Police do regularly monitor these areas in the morning and afternoons.

Important Reminders

The safety of our students is a priority and as a result we ask that everyone observes the following recommendations when using the driveways and carparks of our school:

  • Observe the any STOP signs.
  • 10km speed limit throughout entry and exit and carparks.
  • EXTREME CAUTION to be taken when reversing.
  • NO pedestrian entry from Ruthven Street.
  • NO parking in Ruthven Street.
  • When walking from Perth Street, use the DESIGNATED entry and exit footpath next to the rock wall.
  • Under NO CIRCUMSTANCES are students to walk along the top of the rock wall.
  • DO NOT park on the entrance driveway outside the Prep building, as it is unsafe for pedestrians on the path as well as making it difficult for cars to drive past. THIS IS A NO STANDING ZONE!
  • DO NOT leave any siblings or other students in your parked car whilst collecting or dropping off your child.

Travel by Bus

Students who travel home by bus must move to their designated bus area, on Perth Street, as soon as they are dismissed from class. Students travelling on buses from the opposite side of Perth Street remain seated next to the bus shelter until a teacher on duty releases them to cross the road. Once they have crossed, they are required to sit in or beside the bus shelter on the other side of the road. Students travelling by the bus in Louisa Street must walk to their destination as soon as the school bell rings. There is no teacher on duty for this bus run. There is only a teacher on duty at the Perth Street bus shelter until 3:30pm. Parents/carers of students who catch a bus after 3:30pm are required to acknowledge in writing (to the school) that they are aware that their child is not supervised after 3:30pm.

Please phone the bus company if you have any concerns with your child’s bus route.
