Stop Drop and Go - morning and afternoon drop-off

The Stop Drop and Go zone aims to keep our children safe whilst moving between your car and the school grounds. To this end, please remember that there is NO right turn out of the zone onto Lawrence Street – you MUST turn left at the exit and drive down to the Ruthven Street intersection.

If arriving at school from Ruthven Street into Lawrence Street, you MUST NOT turn right into the Stop Drop Go driveway – this creates dangerous traffic congestion and puts our children’s safety at risk, as well as impeding visibility for our school crossing supervisors. Cars must NOT stop across school crossings nor park in the No Standing area near the driveway.

Police regularly patrol this area and will fine parents for disobeying the road rules. Thank you for observing the guidelines and helping to keep our students safe.

Parking near the Mercy Centre

Parking near the end of the driveway off Neil Street, beside the Mercy Centre, is strictly for deliveries and for those families needing to access the Disabled Park. It is not to be used in the morning for drop off or in the afternoon for pick up.

Before and After School Care

If you are unable to collect your child before 3.30pm please contact St Saviour's OSHC Toowoomba directly.

Bus Zones

Strictly no parking in the Bus Zones. Police do regularly monitor these areas in the morning and afternoons.

Important Reminders

The safety of our students is a priority and as a result we ask that everyone observes the following recommendations when using the driveways and carparks of our school:

  • Observe the any STOP signs.
  • 10km speed limit throughout entry and exit and carparks.
  • EXTREME CAUTION to be taken when reversing.
  • NO pedestrian entry from Ruthven Street.
  • NO parking in Ruthven Street.
  • When walking from Perth Street, use the DESIGNATED entry and exit footpath next to the rock wall.
  • Under NO CIRCUMSTANCES are students to walk along the top of the rock wall.
  • DO NOT park on the entrance driveway outside the Prep building, as it is unsafe for pedestrians on the path as well as making it difficult for cars to drive past. THIS IS A NO STANDING ZONE!
  • DO NOT leave any siblings or other students in your parked car whilst collecting or dropping off your child.

Travel by Bus

Students who travel home by bus must move to their designated bus area, on Perth Street, as soon as they are dismissed from class. Students travelling on buses from the opposite side of Perth Street remain seated next to the bus shelter until a teacher on duty releases them to cross the road. Once they have crossed, they are required to sit in or beside the bus shelter on the other side of the road. Students travelling by the bus in Louisa Street must walk to their destination as soon as the school bell rings. There is no teacher on duty for this bus run. There is only a teacher on duty at the Perth Street bus shelter until 3:30pm. Parents/carers of students who catch a bus after 3:30pm are required to acknowledge in writing (to the school) that they are aware that their child is not supervised after 3:30pm.

Please phone the bus company if you have any concerns with your child’s bus route.
